Conveniently located near the bar, Hughs pool table is the place to go for some drink induced fun and frolics.
At only 20p a go it surely represents the best value fun this side of wearing your sister's clothes. And don't deny it.
Standards vary from the incompetent fool, to the arrogant Varsity player who takes it all too seriously. Putting to one side for a moment the philosophical debates being played out on the hallowed baize, we run two men's team and are currently looking for fresh meat. We play weekly in the college leagues during Michaelmas term; team and individual Cuppers competitions run throughout Hilary; and the St Hughs Open tournament is due in Trinity.
This year has been our most successful ever with the 1sts currently in the top division and individual wins in Cuppers competitions.
So pick up a stick, hold it at the thick end and point it at the balls - no special training needed. But hey, you crazy kids! Be careful - you could take someone's eye out with that.
