The St Hugh’s hockey team enjoyed a successful 2019-2020 season and cannot wait to play again when possible. We are a mixed team, including players from all year groups, so it is a great way to get to know different people within college whom you otherwise might not meet. We usually play one match each weekend in Michaelmas and Hilary terms on the pitch at St Edward’s School on Woodstock Road, and we sometimes have training when no game is scheduled. We are a very inclusive team, so please don’t be afraid to get involved. We have been blown away this year by the massive interest expressed at our freshers taster event this year and we sincerely hope that it won’t be too long until we can play properly. Whether you already plan to play for the university or if you haven’t picked up a hockey stick for a few years (sticks are provided if necessary), we need you on our team!
