Our society unites linguists at St Hugh’s College through a variety of networking events and activities for both recreational and academic purposes, including first-hand accounts and discussions on the year-abroad experience and language exchange sessions. We host seminars with guest speakers including St Hugh’s alumni to help linguists network and discover diverse career opportunities, alongside more social events such as dinners and drinks evening, enabling linguists from different colleges to share their experiences. We also work in conjunction with other college societies to celebrate the vast diversity of linguistic experience in college through film evenings and other social events that bring the college linguists and anyone with an interest in languages together.
